Othello's First Concert

This is a story about Othello who is a red squirrel who has been given a piano by his grandmother. Encouraged and supported by his mum, he learns to play with the help of his piano teacher, Olivia Owl. Unfortunately Othello is quite shy and finds it difficult to play in front of anyone. How will he overcome his fears and perform his first concert?

This story is about learning to control performance nerves and sharing music with others.

Around the World Book 1

This is a piano tutor book for complete beginners. It introduces notes and techniques including rhythm and dynamics.
The pieces are inspired by the theme “Around the World”, depicting different scenes around the world with coloured sketches and lyrics to accompany each piece.

Around the World Book 2

The second book in the Around the World Piano Book series.

It is a follow on from book 1 and explores new notes, techniques and keys. It is aimed to challenge the piano student to explore new repertoire.

Around the World Book 3

The last in the Around the World Piano Book series. It is a piano tutor book that will prepare the student to be able to start working on the Initial grade or preparatory grade exam. It introduces new keys, theory, more advanced rhythms, musical terms and explores new keys.

This book is focusing on developing new techniques for the progressing pianist.

Shirley is a talented pianist and a fantastic teacher, her lessons are structured and fun. In little over a year, I have gone from a beginner to successfully completing graded exams.
